By making an appointment and having your instruments repaired through Prince Brass Repairs, you agree to the following shop, instrument rental, and return policies:
All instruments that are serviced through Prince Brass Repairs, Inc are subject to a $30.00 per day fee to store instruments 10 days after the date on all invoices.
All repairs have a 10 day warranty. Should an instrument need to be brought back to Prince Brass Repairs, Inc within 10 days of pickup from repair, all additional work of the originally requested repair is free of charge. Should an instrument be returned outside of the 10 day warranty, the client is subject to all shop fees and charges.
All 10 day warranties on serviced instruments will be immediately voided should Prince Brass Repairs, Inc come to the conclusion with or without proof the client has their own repair equipment to fix their own instruments.
Prince Brass Repairs, Inc is not responsible for any and all damage to instruments that occur outside of the care of the business.
Prince Brass Repairs, Inc reserves the right to use all media created to promote itself to prospective clients unless the generated media exposes client information.
Prince Brass Repairs, Inc accepts the following as forms of payment: Cash, Purchase Orders, Credit/Debit Cards, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Apple Wallet, Business Checks, and GooglePay. All credit card transactions are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
All repairs are subject to New York State Sales Tax. All schools and non-profit organizations are tax exempt upon providing their tax exempt certificate to Prince Brass Repairs, Inc.
Should mold be found in or on any instrument(s) at the time of service, the customer will be billed for a general cleaning on top of the requested repair. The customer will be notified by email or phone and pictures will be presented for proof. Should the customer willingly choose to not have the general cleaning done, the customer will be required to sign a liability waiver to release Prince Brass Repairs, Inc from being held accountable for any medical conditions or issues that may arise from mold being inhaled or exhaled while playing.
All instruments that require extensive labor will be subject to a $75.00/per hour bench charge. All repair jobs that require a 24 hour or less turn around will incur a $100.00 fee per instrument.
Prince Brass Repairs, Inc allows school districts to send privately owned instruments to the shop for repair. The proper repair slip with parent contact information must be provided at pickup. All privately owned instruments must be paid in full prior to the instrument being delivered to the school from repair.
Pickup and delivery is free of charge to all school districts and non-profit organizations.
Any instrument that is not scheduled for pick up after 30 days of receiving an invoice, will become the property of Prince Brass Repairs, Inc regardless if the instrument is privately owned or is a rental from another company and/or business. Any legalities that occur as a result of an instrument being obtained by Prince Brass Repairs, Inc is at the expense of the customer.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Prince Brass Repairs does not accept instruments left outside of the repair shop. Prince Brass Repairs is not responsible for the theft, loss, or damage to the instrument(s) that are left outside the shop doors.
Prince Brass Repairs will respond to customer emails, text messages, social media messages, and/or phone calls outside of the shop hours at our discretion. Doing so is a courtesy to the customer.
While Prince Brass Repairs does their very best to ensure the proper repair of each instrument that enters the shop, we cannot guarantee that lacquered instruments will retain their lacquer while soldering braces, ferrules, etc together. Solder requires a specific temperature to flow properly which is past the melting point of instrument lacquer.
For school districts who send their students privately owned instruments out for repair:
Band Director/Coordinator contacts Prince Brass Repairs, Inc to schedule a pickup of the student(s) instrument and provide the proper repair slip with parent contact information.
Prince Brass Repairs, Inc will contact the parent with an estimate before any work is completed.
Parents will be contacted to give the final total of the repair which includes tax and a date as to when the instrument will be returned to the school.
Payment is due prior to the return of the instrument to the school or else the instrument will not be returned. 3 attempts to contact the parent for payment will be made via phone, email, or both.
Pickup and Delivery is free of charge regardless if the repair is completed or not.
Instrument Rental Policy
All instruments rented through Prince Brass Repairs, Inc require a signed agreement between parties and are subject to Prince Brass Repairs, Inc terms and conditions.
All instruments rented through Prince Brass Repairs, Inc must be paid in full upfront for the length of the rental agreement. Should the length of the rental be shortened, Prince Brass Repairs, Inc will refund the difference of the original rental term price.
All rental agreements can be extended if needed. The extended term agreement will take effect when the rental extension is paid in full upfront.
Instruments rented through Prince Brass Repairs, Inc that are not returned within 10 business days of the return date are subject to be charged $20 a day per instrument fee up until the date of return of the rented instruments through Prince Brass Repairs, Inc.
All instruments rented in bulk quantities through Prince Brass Repairs, Inc require a 40% non-refundable deposit or paid in full prior to the release of the rented instruments.
All rentals are subject to New York State Sales Tax. All schools and non-profit organizations are tax exempt upon providing their tax exempt form to Prince Brass Repairs, Inc.
NO RETURNS ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS. ALL INTERNATIONAL SALES ARE FINAL.
ALL CONSIGNMENT INSTRUMENT AND USED EQUIPMENT SALES ARE FINAL.
Should a new instrument or accessory arrive in a condition less than new, customers have 7 business days to return the purchased item(s) in its original packaging, the customer pays for shipping. Should the returned item be in any condition less than new, including the packaging, the item(s) will be returned to the custumer and the customer will be invoiced for the price of shipping.
Should the customer receive the incorrect item that was purchased through the e-commerce store or repair shop, the following will occur:
1. Customer contacts Prince Brass Repairs, Inc
2. Customer sends proof that the item has been returned
by sending a tracking number and receipt of shipment
3. Once proof has been shown, Prince Brass Repairs, Inc
will reimburse the customer the full price of shipping upon receiving the item or accessory.
4. As soon as the returned item has been received by
Prince Brass Repairs, Inc, the correct item will ship at
no cost to the customer.
Note: Should a problem arise during the return process, Prince Brass Repairs reserves the right to alter this policy based on an individual basis.
All retail purchases in the shop or through the website are subject to New York State Sales Tax. All schools and non-profit organizations are tax exempt upon providing their tax exempt certificate to Prince Brass Repairs, Inc.
